Participation Agreement

1. Parties and subject

This agreement is between SilentFest Global, which runs the festival, and the person who fills in the booking form. The person making the booking also acts for the other participants in the booking.

Its subject is the terms for booking, paying for and taking part in the SilentFest Global international festival held in Türkiye in 2027.

Ticking the consent boxes at the end of the booking form means you accept this text. The date and version you accepted are recorded.

2. Who can take part

• The festival is for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. Deafblind participants are equally welcome.
• There is no age limit. Participants under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent.
• Knowing sign language is not required. About a third of participants start learning it at the festival each year.

3. How booking works

The booking form has three steps: participants and room, personal details and photo, and summary and payment. The room follows the number of people; you see the total, line by line, in the form.

You pay over WhatsApp. Your booking moves through these states: payment awaited, deposit received, registration confirmed. Once your payment is confirmed, the team confirms your booking and tells you by email.

If your payment is confirmed within 48 hours, the price shown to you applies. If it is confirmed after the hold time, the price period in force on that day applies; we tell you the difference in writing before you pay.

The places in each price period are filled only by adults whose payment is confirmed; bookings still awaiting payment and free children do not count. A booking becomes final when the full payment (pay in full) or the deposit (instalment option) is confirmed. The number of places left shown on the site is based on real data.

Once your payment is confirmed, your digital ticket is emailed to you automatically; it can be downloaded as a PDF and saved to your phone. The ticket confirms your festival registration; it is not a flight or any other transport ticket.

Bookings are open until to be announced.

4. Price and payment

• The opening campaign is for the first 60 adults whose payment is confirmed. For the first 60 places the price per person is €550 in full, or €600 by instalments. When the first 60 paid adults are reached, the campaign closes automatically.
• For the first 60 places the price per person is €550 in full, or €600 by instalments; paying in full and paying by instalments are two separate options. After place 60 the price is €600 per person in full, or €700 by instalments. If a booking falls across two periods, the whole booking is priced at the period it started in.
• Places are filled only by adults whose payment is confirmed; bookings still awaiting payment and free children do not count. A campaign discount and any other discount are never combined on one booking.
• The price includes: 4 nights / 5 days in a 5-star beachfront hotel; Ultra All Inclusive food and drink as per the hotel's concept; a standard shared room; use of the pool and beach; the opening, parties, entertainment, gala and farewell programmes; an international Deaf community and sign-language-centred communication; photo and video shooting during the festival.
• Adventure activities such as rafting, scuba diving, Jeep Safari, Buggy Safari, ATV Safari, night safari, sea activities and the boat tour are not included in the price; their prices will be announced soon and they are paid separately. On the booking form or the programme page you can ask to be told when those prices are announced; this is only a note of interest, not a sale, a booking or a guaranteed place. Once prices are announced you are asked separately whether you want to buy; no activity is booked until payment and final confirmation.
• The airport transfer is not included in the price. Flight or bus tickets and other travel, visa and passport costs, personal spending and the hotel's paid services are not included either. Each guest plans their own travel.
• A child's age is counted on the first day of the festival, 26 May 2027; the date of birth is required and may be checked against an ID card or passport. The first child aged 0–11 is free when sharing the room with two full-paying adults; a second child gets 50% off. For a child coming with one adult, this applies with a second full-paying adult or when a room match with a suitable adult is accepted; otherwise the child pays the adult price. A booking can include at most two children. A photo is uploaded for the child and a festival badge is prepared; the child's extra activities are not free.
• Anyone over 11 is booked as an adult and pays the adult price.
• Rooms are shared; there are no single rooms. The room follows the people in the booking: a 2-person standard shared room, a 3-person room (no supplement) or a family room for 2 adults and their children, assigned automatically. A guest coming alone names a roommate or accepts a room match.
• With the instalment option you pay a €200 deposit per adult and the rest in 4 monthly instalments of €100. The instalment option costs more in total than paying in full. The first instalment is one month after you book, on the same calendar day. If that month has no such day, you pay on the last day of the month. The instalment dates are shown in your booking summary and in the confirmation message.
• You pay over WhatsApp after you send your booking request; the payment details are sent to you there in writing. If your booking cannot be confirmed, everything you paid is refunded.

5. Withdrawal, cancellation and refunds

• For 14 days after the email confirming your booking you may withdraw for any reason or none. If you have not paid, you owe nothing; if you have, you get all of it back.
• Cancel more than 30 days before the festival starts and 75% of what you paid is refunded.
• Cancel less than 30 days before and the accommodation booking can no longer be cancelled, so no refund is possible — unless you have a documented reason such as illness, a visa refusal or a family emergency, in which case you are refunded in full.
• If you tell us in writing at least 7 days before the festival starts, you can transfer your booking to another person who meets the conditions. You pay any real, documented extra costs of the name change.

6. What we ask of you

Sign language is the shared language of the festival. That does not mean speaking is banned; it means that when a deaf participant is present, the conversation stays in sign. The rule applies to everyone on the festival team, from the volunteers to the festival doctor.

As a participant you agree that:

• The information you gave in the form is true. Knowingly false identity information is grounds for cancelling your place.
• You will treat other participants, the team and the venue with respect. Discrimination, harassment, bullying and violence are not tolerated in any form and are grounds for being asked to leave the festival.
• You will not bring or use illegal substances at the hotel or festival venues. Alcohol is permitted only in designated areas and only for those over 18.
• You will tell us before the festival starts if your health changes in a way that affects your participation.
• If you are asked to leave, no refund is made and your journey home is at your own cost.

7. What we owe you

• Enough sign language interpreters for the whole festival, evening programme included.
• A team that can, every one of them, communicate in sign language.
• Any accessibility or dietary need you tell us about, in place before the festival starts — and if we cannot meet one, we tell you plainly and in advance.
• A festival doctor on site throughout.
• A written answer to every booking request.

8. Health and liability

The festival programme and the optional extra activities (such as rafting, scuba diving, safaris, sea activities and the boat tour) involve physical activity. None of it is compulsory and taking part is entirely your choice.

We are not liable for situations arising from your own negligence, for loss of personal belongings, or for time you spend away from the hotel.

Nothing in this agreement limits our liability for our own intent or gross negligence.

9. Photographs and video

We take photographs and video at the festival. Appearing in them is entirely up to you and is set by the separate consent box in the booking form.

If you do not consent we keep you out of frame, and it affects neither your booking nor your time at the festival.

Even if you do consent, you can ask us to take a particular image down at any point afterwards. We act on such a request within 30 days.

We use the images only to promote the festival and for our own archive; we do not sell them to third parties.

10. If the festival is cancelled or changes

If force majeure — a natural disaster, an epidemic, war, an official ban — forces us to cancel, you get everything you paid back. We cannot cover travel costs, which is why we suggest buying a refundable ticket.

We may change the programme for weather or safety reasons. The dates, the place and the price do not change.

If too few places are filled we may postpone, in which case you choose between a full refund and moving to the new date.

11. Your personal data

How we handle your data is set out separately, in the privacy notice. Accepting this agreement does not replace the consents described there — those are ticked separately in the form.

12. Governing law and effect

This agreement is governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Antalya have jurisdiction.

The consumer rights of participants living in the European Union are unaffected; this agreement does not limit them.
